NNDT has developed specialised Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing solutions for the inspection of small-bore, thin-walled components where conventional ultrasonic and radiographic techniques can present significant challenges. Specialised high-frequency transducers, scanning equipment and inspection procedures enable detailed examination of thin-wall components such as boiler tubing and other complex configurations. Our capability has been further developed to accommodate highly restricted geometries, including weld configurations with clearances of approximately 11 mm. This provides clients with an advanced alternative for applications where conventional inspection methods may be difficult, time-consuming or impractical.
