Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) is used to detect and assess significant discontinuities and metal loss in suitable ferromagnetic tubes. The technique can identify defects including pits, gouges, cracks, seams, laps and areas of wall loss by analysing changes in the magnetic field generated within the material. MFL provides clients with an efficient inspection solution for identifying areas requiring further assessment and supporting maintenance and integrity management decisions.
