Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) is an advanced ultrasonic technique that uses multiple individually controlled transducer elements to electronically steer, focus and manipulate the ultrasonic beam. This provides significantly greater inspection flexibility than conventional single-probe UT and allows complex geometries and weld configurations to be examined efficiently. PAUT can provide detailed imaging and accurate defect detection and sizing, making it particularly valuable for critical welds, complex components and applications where clients require a high level of inspection confidence.
