Rope access is a type of work positioning that originated from climbing and caving techniques and uses practical ropework to allow workers to access difficult-to-reach locations without the use of scaffolding, cradles, or an aerial work platform. Rope access technicians use harnesses to descend, ascend, and traverse ropes for access and work. A work seat may be used on occasion.
When combined with National NDT Services’ vast array of NDT methodologies and our personnel’s high level of training, we are able to provide customers with NDT testing solutions that can now be performed in elevated or difficult-to-reach locations. This enables customers to conduct more thorough inspections while avoiding the costs associated with scaffolding and/or ariel work platforms.
We provide this service across a multitude of sectors such as Marine, Petrochemical, Oil and Gas, Paper and Pulp, Mining, Sugar, Power Generation and Renewable Energy.
